1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    Hebrews 1:2

  2. b. Romans 8:15–17; Ephesians 1:5–6

    Romans 8:15–17

8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

8:15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" 8:16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 8:17 And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ-if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him.

    Ephesians 1:5–6

1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

1:5 He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, 1:6 to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One.
