    THE THIRD PART OF MANS THANKFVLNES

    1. What dooth God require in the first commaundement?

      That, as dearlie as I tender the saluation of my own soul, so earnestlie should I shun & flie all Idolatry, sorcery, enchantmēts, ; superstitiō, praying to Saints, or anie other ; creatures: & should rightly ; ; acknowledge the only & true god, trust in him alone, submit & subiect my self vnto him with al ; ; ; ; humility & patience, look for all good things from him alone, and lastly with the entire affection of my hart ; ; loue, ; reuerence, & ; ; ; ; worship him: so that I am ready to renounce and forsake al creatures rather, thā to ; commit the least thing that may be against his wil. ; ;
